Welcome to Inbound Books
A publisher with a mission to do things differently.
Stories are everywhere. But the ones that stay with you—the ones you can’t stop thinking about, can’t stop talking about—those are harder to find.
Too often, what gets published in the mainstream feels all too familiar. Predictable arcs. Recycled ideas. Safe bets that are easy to market, but harder to remember. You’ve seen it. You’ve felt it. That sense that you’ve read this before, even when you haven’t.
We’re not here for that.
We started Inbound Books for the stories that break that pattern.
For readers, this means something simple: we’re not here to flood the market with more of the same. We’re here to help you discover something different. The kinds of books that challenge expectations, reflect a broader range of lived experiences, and stay with you long after the final page. The voices that don’t always get the spotlight—but absolutely should.
If you’ve ever finished a book and immediately wanted to hand it to someone and say, “You need to read this,” you already understand what we’re talking about. Those are the kinds of books we want to champion.
If you’ve been waiting for something fresh, unexpected, and worth sharing, you’re in the right place.
But Inbound Books isn’t just for readers.
It’s also for the writers who create the stories we can’t stop thinking about.
Because behind every bold, conversation-starting book is a writer who, at some point, sat alone with an idea and decided to see it through.
When an author gets to that finish line and decides to publish, they have a choice. Usually traditional or self-publishing.
Traditional publishing offers reach, but often at the cost of control, ownership, and consistent support. Self-publishing offers control, but often without the structure, resources, or momentum needed to truly break through.
Inbound Books was built because we believe there should be another option, a fundamentally different model rooted in cooperation, shared effort, and aligned incentives.
Because writing may be solitary, but publishing never is.
Inbound Books began as a series of conversations between writers who had spent years approaching the same problem from different angles. Christopher Bodmann, Joseph Guyer, Winter Prosapio, Jayne Bodmann, BJ Bell, and Mireya Prosapio didn’t come together to build a traditional company. They came together around a shared belief:
The best books come out of letting writers do what they do best, and they have their best chance of success when they’re supported without giving up ownership.
We’re a collective, working together to contribute time, perspective, and expertise to support one another.
The goal isn’t just to publish individual books. We’re building something that compounds.
A system where one successful launch lifts the next. Where knowledge is shared, not siloed. Where momentum builds over time, instead of resetting with every new release.
That kind of system doesn’t happen by accident. It requires participation. It requires trust. It requires writers who take their work seriously—not just their own, but the work of others.
This model isn’t for everyone.
And it’s not meant to be.
It’s intentionally selective, not to exclude, but to protect what’s being built. Every new voice shapes the collective. Every book contributes to its reputation. That means fit matters. Mindset matters. A willingness to engage matters.
Because publishing is work. Real work.
Editing. Design. Metadata. Distribution. Marketing. None of it happens on its own. Inbound takes responsibility for building the infrastructure that supports each book, while authors remain deeply involved—especially in how their work connects with readers.
The result is a true partnership.
Shared effort. Shared investment. Aligned outcomes.
And exceptional books that aren’t the cookie-cutter titles being put out by mainstream publishers.
When writers retain ownership, they think long-term. When they’re supported by a collective, they operate at a higher level. When everyone has a stake in the success of the whole, progress accelerates.
For readers, that means better books. More original voices. Stories that feel alive, urgent, and worth your time.
For writers, it means a path forward that doesn’t force you to choose between control and support.
And for both, it means being part of something that feels less like a pipeline—and more like a movement.
Inbound Books isn’t just here to get books into the world.
We’re here to help the right stories find their way—and make sure they don’t get lost once they do.
So whether you’re here to discover your next favorite read, or you’re holding a finished manuscript and wondering what comes next, this is where it starts.
Welcome to Inbound Books.
Let’s build something worth talking about.
